LDG Volunteer Opportunity--Lois' Lodge

Hey gang! I wanted to give you more information on Lois' Lodge and how we can help. There are several ways we can get involved.

1)Everyone received a list yesterday of needed items for donation. Even if you donate one item, it will help! There is a wide variety of items needed. From diapers & wipes to cleaning supplies. The home runs completely off donations so there is nothing too big or too small. If you prefer, you can always donate cash. If you did not receive a list of needed items, let me know and I will forward the list to you.

2) The Walk-A-Thon is on Saturday March 28 at Freedom Park at 9:00 am. Children are encouraged to come too! The Charlotte Eagles Soccer Players will be there and are holding a free soccer clinic for all children of walkers. The clinic is at 8:45. There will be live music and other childrens activities. You can sponsor yourself or raise sponsorships from others. If you would like to register to walk, you can go to http://www.loislodge.org/Iwanttogetinvolved.html and click the register to participate link. I have entered as a team so you can enter my name as the team you are joining.

3) I have contacted Dawn at the lodge for ways we can serve them in the next few weeks. Most likely it will be helping with landscaping or cleaning. I also asked if we could host a game night with the women where we could provide snacks, etc. I will get more information out on the exact need when I have more information.

It is great to read these stories so you will see how this home is making a difference in the lives of it's residents.
